Get To Know Our Client:

Our Client is a privately-owned third-party logistics provider under Metro Logistics Inc, managing over twelve million square feet of warehouse space across North America and Europe.

They are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team. In this role, you will be reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator plays an integral role in coordinating the daily picking activities of operations to ensure fluid processing, and optimal execution of the daily order plan. The incumbent would be required to use their in-depth knowledge of Red Prairie to attain desired productivity goals ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met as it relates to order fulfillment and customer service.

Job Requirements

Your Day:

  • Communicate with inbound and outbound drivers; assigns dock doors for inbound receipts and outbound shipments
  • Generates paperwork for inbound and outbound paperwork
  • Organize RP workflow to meet customer deadlines
  • Coordinate the delivery of rush orders
  • Ensure and provide quality service to both internal and external customers
  • Coordinates the implementation of a logistics plan to achieve desired delivery response times while paying close attention to productivity levels and the operational plan communicated daily by the Supervisor
  • Communicate inventory, logistics and customer service issues to the Supervisor that will affect productivity and or customer service
  • Follows Operations, Customer Service, Transportation and Loss Prevention SOPs
  • Tracks inventory issues and communicate daily with Inventory Control and the Supervisor to address discrepancies
  • Assist where necessary in implementing and training personnel on operating guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Assist where necessary in developing and training of all Red Prairie WMS upgrades and modifications and ensures that operators are made aware of any and all changes that directly affect them
  • Other duties as assigned

About You:

  • Have knowledge of Red Prairie WMS and work with the Supervisor to address any training or procedural gaps.
  • Further education in logistics management is preferred but not required
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in progressively responsible materials management related operations jobs
  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Organized and shows strong attention to detail
  • Adapt to changes quickly, as well as, working effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Great time management skills
  • Ability to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

Night Shift but a swing schedule:

1st Week Sun-Tues; 2nd Week Sun-Wed 7pm-7am
