JOB DUTIES:

  • Schedule outbound distribution
  • Use online Transportation Management Systems for retail distribution
  • Call retail traffic departments for routing
  • Online routing of outbound shipments
  • Call truckers in for pick ups
  • Call D.C.s for delivery appointments
  • Create Bills of Lading and Shipping Manifests
  • Work with warehouse operations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience routing retail shipments a plus
  • Experience in dispatching trucks is a plus
  • Familiarity with online routing
  • Familiarity with NMFC codes
  • Familiarity with dealing with commercial carriers
  • Familiarity with SCAC codes.
  • Competency in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Good match skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Experience with TMS systems a plus
  • Experience working for a freight brokerage firm is a plus
  • Must possess excellent organization and follow up skills
