Job Description

Lyneer Staffing is seeking an experienced Certified Phlebotomist.


Must be able to draw on all ages, mainly adults.

Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification required


This is an excellent opportunity for a Phlebotomist with at least 2 years of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant. Exhibit proficiency in all of the following: blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, urine drug screen collections, paternity collections, breath/saliva alcohol testing a plus.


Phlebotomist hours: Sunday-Thursday 11pm-730 and Tuesday-Saturday 11pm -730


Phlebotomist Job Responsibilities:

Must exhibit proficiency in data order entry and processing of samples. Have a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety. Possess the ability and skills necessary to perform other duties as required by supervisor (training, travel, etc)
Matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes
Drawing blood from veins by vacuum tube, syringe, butterfly venipuncture methods
Drawing blood from capillaries by dermal punctures, such as heel or finger stick methods
Disposing of blood, biohazard fluids in accordance with applicable laws
Organizing and clean blood-drawing trays, ensuring all instruments are sterile
Collecting fluid or tissue samples, using appropriate collection procedures
Collecting specimens at specific time intervals for tests

Qualifications:
Phlebotomist with a preferred minimum of two years’ experience as a patient service technician/phlebotomist.

The phlebotomist must exhibit strong customer skills demonstrating a patient-centric approach.

Must exhibit professional appearance and behavior.

Must be proficient at obtaining payment from patients.

Must have a clean driving record

  • Obtain blood specimens by performing venipuncture and finger sticks
  • Collect blood samples from patients by venipuncture or microtechniques
  • Draw blood, phlebotomy certification
  • Process blood specimens for testing in the laboratory
  • Collect blood specimens from patient veins and fingers
  • Collect blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques
  • Package specimens and requisitions immediately after blood draw
  • Explain blood collection procedure to patient
  • Identify patient and select venipuncture equipment appropriate for test, draw blood specimens
