Job Description

Lyneer Staffing is seeking an experienced Certified Phlebotomist. Must be able to draw on all ages, mainly adults.

Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification required


This is an excellent opportunity for a Phlebotomist with at least 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant. Exhibit proficiency in all of the following: blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, urine drug screen collections, paternity collections, breath/saliva alcohol testing a plus.


Phlebotomist hours: Monday -Friday 8-5 depending on location, with a possible rotating Saturday


Phlebotomist Job Responsibilities:


Must exhibit proficiency in data order entry and processing of samples. Have a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety. Possess the ability and skills necessary to perform other duties as required by supervisor (training, travel, etc)
Matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes
Drawing blood from veins by vacuum tube, syringe, butterfly venipuncture methods
Drawing blood from capillaries by dermal punctures, such as heel or finger stick methods
Disposing of blood, biohazard fluids in accordance with applicable laws
Organizing and clean blood-drawing trays, ensuring all instruments are sterile
Collecting fluid or tissue samples, using appropriate collection procedures
Collecting specimens at specific time intervals for tests


Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Phlebotomist with a preferred minimum of two years’ experience as a patient service technician/phlebotomist.


The phlebotomist must exhibit strong customer skills demonstrating a patient-centric approach.


Must exhibit professional appearance and behavior.


Must be proficient at obtaining payment from patients.


Must have a clean driving record
