In this role you will help create, produce and manage groundbreaking, innovative television programs. and have creative oversight of a variety of production projects. You will also manage the efforts of multiple outside production companies simultaneously. While building a strong partnership with the development team serve as an intricate part of the building process of a series/event from the ground up.

Day to Day:

  • Assist in developing new programs, new genres and find new ways of talking to audiences.
  • Will be held accountable for exploring the possibilities for each show managed.
  • Must work with market research team to conduct regular health checks on shows being managed.
  • Serve as Team Lead and Main Contact on all aspects of production for Network projects as assigned by network SVP, VP, Sr. EP or Director.
  • Directly responsible for pushing project information to internal Network teams and ensuring that the network is maximizing the potential of each project in all stages of production.
  • Review and convey timely comments to program producers on all stages of development and production.
  • Work with the VP / Director to develop new creative concepts, formats and show ideas to pitch back to Development and Programming teams.
  • Supervision of entire creative process from treatment review to final delivery on original, co-production and reversion projects.
  • Work with DCIs Talent Relations Department to coordinate casting of talent for network projects.
  • Management of multiple outside production companies on multiple series and specials simultaneously.
  • Supervise of all production phases of reversions or repackaging, including editing, post-production audio, scripting, graphics and field and studio production.

Job Requirements

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience creating factual and entertainment series
  • Must have food/culinary media experience
  • Must have experience representing brand or network vision while working with third-party production companies
  • Must have experience working in a scaled daily production environment, preferably with live video production
  • Must have experience booking industry experts, celebrity guests and on-camera talent
  • Preferred candidates will have linear TV experience
  • Must understand an app-based audience and viewing habits within these environments.
  • Must be collaborative and possess a high degree of adaptability and flexibility.
  • Must possess strong communication skills, both in-person and digitally.
  • Must be highly organized and very comfortable operating in a startup-style environment.
  • Strong familiarity with new and emerging video programming platforms (Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, iOS, Android, Windows 8, and other OTT platforms/connected devices).
  • Must have a critical and advanced eye in terms of aesthetics and storytelling with experience in post-production.
