Shift: 1st

Pay Rate: $13.00 to $15.00

The Quality Control/ Engineering Assistant is expected to support activities pertaining to the remanufacturing of hybrid electric vehicle batteries. The essential job functions include (but not limited to).

  • Reporting daily inventory consumption.
  • Reporting the monthly inventory balance (physical counts).
  • Performing incoming inspections on parts in accordance with pre-established standards.
  • Maintaining spreadsheets containing the production details of all manufactured batteries.
  • Making inspection sheets and shipment lists of all shipments.
  • Making shipment documents such as the bill of lading and packing lists for every shipment.
  • Work with/on in-house data management programs.
  • Compile documentation for review prior to every shipment.
  • Keeping a track of customer returns and quality issues.
  • Lead data gathering activities whenever necessary and support failure investigations on high voltage electric vehicle battery, root cause analysis efforts, development and implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
  • Reporting daily rejection numbers (process fallout).
  • Handling, printing, scanning, filing etc., of documents such as product compliance reports, production paper work and more based on pre-established standards.
  • Create and maintain process documents as instructed and in accordance to the established quality management system.
  • Perform torque audits, quality checks and carry out process monitoring.
  • Effectively communicating and forwarding documentation between various departments.
  • Act as a point of contact between the engineering office and the shop floor in production and quality control matters.

Preparation of handouts and setting up the conference room for meetings and customer/supplier visits.


  • Operate a forklift for storage or removal of materials
  • Prepare products and materials for inventory
  • Load, unload, stack, and move products manually or using forklift
  • Track and record units of materials handled
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures
  • Operate office machines, such as computer or calculator


  • 2 years minimum experience in general labor, warehousing, or other related fields
  • Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting at least 20 pounds
  • Current forklift certification
