Job Description

Our client is a nationally-recognized toy and children's activity distributor, committed to making products that inspire open-ended thinking and encourage kids to see new possibilities. They are looking to hire a contracted Purchasing Clerk to add to their team!

Your Day

  • Prepare purchase orders and manage confirmations.
  • Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary.
  • Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and quality issues.
  • Review MRO requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
  • Back up Front Office & support when not busy with purchasing including, phones, vendor calls, filing, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by management


Job Requirements

About You

  • Proven experience as a purchasing clerk
  • Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
  • Experience preparing shipping documents
  • Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Good understanding of keeping track of inventory
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem-solving abilities
