Job Description

Lyneer Staffing solutions is seeking an Experienced Senior Accountant.
Senior Accountant will Perform professional accounting work of a complex nature in the maintenance of the general accounting system, general ledger for billings, payments and fees, or government property system, to contribute to the organizations net income, improve client relationships and reduce the organization's risk of financial loss.

1. Keeping informed of current U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles standards including planning, and implementing new standards across the organization, preparing or analyzing accurate financial information.
2. Maintaining accounting records for the coordination, preparation and submission of various financial reports; coordinating the preparation of foreign and domestic financial statements, reports, analysis, and data.
3. Collaborating with various business team members to support the Client's business strategy; fostering various external and cross-functional relationships with various interested parties.
4. Researching, interpreting, analyzing and writing white papers on advanced reporting requirements, contract documents, accounting matters and financial transactions to determine proper accounting treatment.
5. Reviewing, documenting, and testing internal controls in order to provide certain assurances over the internal control structure, as required.
6. Perform various accounting functions for assigned areas; including journal entry preparation and review, subsidiary accounting or oversight, benefits accounting, business unit accounting, accounting for investments, and account reconciliations.
7. Provides oversight to the preparation of certain financial reports prepared by accountants and other staff; may assist in training of other staff, as required.
8. Prepares special reports, presentations, or other duties as required.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 8 years of related experience, or equivalent experience and education, required. CPA license preferred. Must have knowledge and involvement in the application of US generally accepted accounting principles and experience working at a large company or on large audit clients.
