Job Description


The Shipping & Receiving lead Supervisor directs shipping activities for organization. Oversee the receiving and shipping of finished goods and parts, insure accuracy of shipping and inventory counts, and take corrective action on items not compliant to shipping, receiving, and production inventory documentation. Communicate with Customer Service, Materials, and Production in dealing with exceptions.

  • Supervise lift truck operators on the shipping dock, in the pack-out area, and in the production areas.
  • Work closely with Customer Support to insure customer needs are met in an expedited or timely manner.
  • Meet on-time shipping requirement goals.
  • Insure all data for on-time performance is documented and exceptions are noted.
  • Monitor material FIFO requirements in Finished Goods Warehouse.
  • Monitor weekly cycle counting of finished goods inventory.
  • Monitor and schedule maintenance requirements of all lift trucks and yard truck.
  • Coordinate returnable packaging needs.
  • Responsible for housekeeping of assigned areas, and removal and disposal of non-hazardous waste.
  • Responsible for employee's quarterly and annual performance evaluations.
  • Perform weekly safety checks of storage racks and material handling equipment
