Get to know our client:

Our client is an industry leader providing private label and brand name industrial equipment and supplies to businesses throughout North America. They are seeking a Warehouse Associate/Generalist to join their team!

In this role, you will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing, and shipping orders.

Your Day:

  • Use an RF scanner to determine the proper products to be moved, gathered, or distributed for completing customer orders.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets, shelves, or conveyor belts based on the necessary route for either the packing station or shipping department.
  • Operate a riding powered pallet jack and/or forklift to move products efficiently in a productive environment.
  • Receive processed orders, verifies the accuracy of order, and scans orders into the computer system.
  • Banding product securely to the respective pallets using company standards to ensure our customer's satisfaction.
  • Utilize machinery to shrink wrap products on pallets.
  • Operate forklift and pallet jack to stage or load products as necessary.
  • Load orders safely and efficiently.
  • Receive merchandise into the warehouse daily upon delivery.
  • Unload trucks and verifies inventory.
  • Record and report discrepancies and/or damages as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

About You:

  • Must adhere to all safety requirements and guidelines; immediately report all near misses and unsafe acts
  • The ability to operate various types of equipment such as manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, or sit-down counterbalance to fulfill any role. (ex: water spider, loader, packer, receiver)
  • basic mathematical knowledge with the ability to apply such knowledge to efficiently and accurately perform job functions, such as counting products, building safe pallets. (ex: counting, addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
  • Must be able to navigate a computer and tablet to work within the company's Warehouse Management System (High Jump). Must be able to use an RF scanner (ex: scanner-match location, product, LP stickers)
  • The ability to read and match POs to orders ensuring that orders are picked, packed, and loaded correctly.
  • Ability to assess sizing to pack boxes considering height, depth, length, and weight
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality; required to work all shifts as scheduled, including weekday and weekend overtime
  • Lift up to 50lbs independently
  • Stand, walk, bend in a non-temperature controlled environment

  • Required to understand work instructions in English
  • Daily wear of safety shoes compliant with ASTM, F2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999 or ANSI Z41-1991 standards

Shift Hours:

  • 8am-4:30pm; OR 10am-6:30pm
  • Mon-Friday
